Debate

I am really looking forward to the debate tonight, although I have to wait until 2 am to see it. I’m surprised the BBC is showing it at all. Naturally, George Bush is going to wipe the floor with that idiot Kerry and because the media over here seem to love Mr Flip Flop so much I’m surprised we’re getting any cover of it.

I have only just recently realised how interesting politics can be. If it wasn’t for my beloved better half being obsessed with everything that’s going on in the world, I would know absolutely zilch.

Go to Cryptic Subterranean and see for yourself.

Silly stats

I was reading FARK today and came across these statistics….apparently Dove soap have completed an around the globe survey asking women how attractive they think they are.

Only 2% think of themselves as sexy, 2% think they are beautiful, 43% think they are natural and 26% say they’re average. I’m not really surprised by these stats. No matter where you look, it will always be the gorgeous, tall, slim, toned women modelling the items ordinary people are supposed to buy. Not everyone looks like the Victoria’s Secret girls, and according to these stats, only 2% of the world thinks they do. Not that I’m complaining, it gives me more of an incentive to exercise when I see those girls looking so good in the undies I want to wear!

WTF?!

Is it just me or do these guys need their heads looked at?

It's been too long...

I can’t believe it’s been so long since I last posted anything. Between finishing off my last assignment for this years course, trying to get some ‘alone time’ with my other half, looking after two kids plus trying to squeeze in some revision for my exam in October, I seem to have no time to just slow down, take a deep breath and relax.

I have managed to pull myself away from revision (which truthfully wasn’t hard at all) to catch a couple of flicks at the cinema recently…. Dodgeball (very funny and well worth the trip to the cinema), The Chronicles of Riddick (very enjoyable, plus the added bonus of Vin Diesel) and Hellboy (glad I saw it on the big screen, I didn’t have any expectations, so I wasn’t disappointed). Sky Captain is starting next week, so hopefully, we’ll get to see it. My other half has a bit of a ‘thing’ for Angelina Jolie, so I’m sure he’ll have nothing but good to say about it.

Gonna hit the sack now, and the way I’m feeling, my man is in for a treat….

Oh so busy

I've been busy trying to finish my last assignment for this course, and when I do, I have another few weeks of solid revising for my exam in October. It's not looking good. It seems no matter how many times I re-read the text, I'm no further forward. It's all gobbledygook.
Anyways, I better crack on. My other half won't be pleased if he comes back to me reading the same page as when he left!

The Village

I went to see The Village a few nights ago. It was the first time I left my three month old baby with someone else for more than ten minutes. Although I was worried about how she would be with my sister for the evening, it was so good to get out again. My eldest daughter, who is two, loves spending time with my sister, so I knew she'd be fine.
Quite frankly, this is yet another great movie by M. Night Shyamalan. He cast Bryce Dallas Howard as Ivy Walker without an audition, and the part of Lucius Hunt was written for Joaquin Phoenix. Both actors played their parts very well, and if you haven't already seen this film, do so now. It's very creepy at some points, I even jumped a few times. I won't ruin the story, I knew nothing about it when I went to see it and I'm glad I didn't. There are a couple of good twists in the story and that's all I'll say.

Link

When I get my links sorted, this one will be at the top of my list. My lovely fiance has a blog of his own called Cryptic Subterranean, and it's very good. He hasn't had much time to write lately, but he hopes to change that in the next couple of days. Expect to read anything from politics to workouts, books to computers, weapons to movies. He knows something about everything which quite often puts me to shame.

Go there now!

Here goes....

This is my first attempt at something like this, so, as yet I don't know what I'll be writting about.

Enjoy reading about my thoughts and my life....
